Hawk proudly announces the addition of a new gooseneck May 1, 2006 We call it the 3 horse Gooseneck Walk thru Slant with Dress. If you were to ask us if it is a slant load, side by side, box stalls, or reverse load trailer, the answer would be "Yes."
This 80" wide body, 7' 6" tall, 29' 11" long trailer offers you the flexibility that you never thought available in a horse trailer. Designed with the larger horses in mind, you can configure this into a 2-horse side by side trailer at the rear and have the 3rd horse riding on a slant in the forward stall. Do you need to have 2 horses side by side and a box stall in front? Not a problem in this new Hawk trailer. Add the additional box stall conversion option and simply pin your telescoping slant divider against the wall, and use your side ramp for loading and unloading your horses. Do you need 2 box stalls? All you need to do is simply remove the rear horse dividers and you have rear and front box stalls.
Some customers like to haul their horses backwards in their trailer. This is not a problem for this very unique trailer. Simply ask your dealer about the reverse stall option. This allows you to reverse the horse dividers and load your horses from the side ramp. You can have all 3 horses riding backwards! The other neat thing about this is that you don't have to back a horse out of a trailer. Simply walk them up the side ramp and then walk them off the rear ramp. For many years, horse trailer buyers have been asking for a horse trailer that would allow them to load the horses in from the back & walk them out a side unload ramp. They would never have to back a horse out of the trailer again. WOW, what a concept! Hawk has built many bumper pull & gooseneck trailers with side unload ramps in the past few years for horses and horse owners with special needs. This process involved starting with a standard trailer design and making the necessary modifications. Hawk is concerned about the safety & comfort of the horses. We understand that horses, much like people, will perform better if they are transported in a safe & quiet climate controlled environment that will reduce stress & overall fatigue. Lets look at the Hawk bumper pull trailers: All Hawk bumper pull trailers are equipped with a 2 5/16 (Class #4) coupler rated at 12,500 lbs. This is the highest rated coupler to insure safe coupling between the trailer and towing vehicle. The sealed Bulldog tongue jack allows the lubricant inside to stay clean and prevents the grease from getting on our hands or clothes. The aluminum diamond tread plate provides a safe surface when walking on the trailer tongue. Our plastic coated safety chains allow us enough length to cross them under the tongue of the trailer. These safety cables do not drag on the ground like some safety chains may do. We find the plastic coating provides less corrosion over time. Two 20 x 24 sliding windows are standard on the on the front or our Hawk trailers. These allow for increased light and ventilation. Our Steel belted radial spare tires are standard. We want to insure that you will be able to continue your journey in the event of a blowout or a flat tire. All Hawk trailers have a sealed 12-volt electrical fuse box. We want to protect the electrical system on your towing vehicle. In the unlikely event of a wiring problem, the blade style fuse in the fuse box will blow instead of a fuse in the towing vehicle. The outer aluminum shell of all Hawk trailers is attached with 3M VHB Tapes - Giving the trailer buyers what they want in smooth sided trailers. This 3M VHB tape improves the durability a well as a quieter ride. A 12-volt battery is provided for your breakaway brake system. This makes sure your breakaway brake system is complete, unlike some other brands of trailers. Hawk provides a dual action roof vent for each horse in the trailer. This aluminum vent can be opened forward in the summer to provide fresh air. In the winter, we open it backward to allow for better climate control. We include feed bags in our trailers. It is important that a horse has roughage to help prevent colic when traveling. These vinyl coated feed bags can be easily removed and cleaned to prevent possible respiratory problems. The entire trailer is fully lined and insulated. Many trailers today are only lined to the bottom of the windows in the horse area. This can be a problem because the outer aluminum skin may be damaged if a horse gets to fooling around. We also find that the half-lined trailer is warmer inside in the summer because of the lack of complete insulation. The Hawk dress areas are also fully lined and insulated. This provides a much quieter trailer while providing additional protection to the outer shell. Rubber floor mats and rubber lining are standard in the horse area of a Hawk trailer. We want to provide maximum protection for your investment. Your horses are pampered with our standard vinyl padding. These durable, washable pads provide the cushion your horses need when traveling. Our 12-volt L.E.D. clearance and directional light system is in compliance with the United States as well as Canada. We find these L.E.D. lights are brighter andwill outlast conventional bulb type lights. Best of all, your Hawk trailer has a limited TRANSFERRABLE WARRANTY! The Custom trim level has a 5 year warranty, and the "Elite trim level has a 7 year warranty.
Hawk is SUPER SIZING with "CLASSIC" horse trailer models. March 28, 2007 These LARGER BODY horse trailers comfortably accommodate the larger horses. The 2 horse bumper pull or gooseneck side-by-side and the 4 horse gooseneck head-to-head trailers are newly designed from the frame up. We don't just add additional height to the roof. Hawk understands that taller horses may require additional trailer width and stall length. The Hawk "Classic" offers 7' 8" inside height with an 80" wide body. The 7' 6" stall and 42" neck and head area provide 11' of overall stall length. Larger interior pads have been positioned higher in the trailer for maximum protection of the horse. The breast and butt bars are raised to insure proper fit. The safety glass windows at the horse's side and head areas are located higher for improved light and ventilation. The spring assist rear ramp with upper storm doors provides a safe and easy means of loading and unloading your horse. These trailers can be built in a 5' or 6' wide body. The body length will vary with the number of miniature horses you wish to haul. The inside height of 5'-8" will provide less wind resistance behind smaller towing vehicles. These are fully lined and insulated to provide maximum comfort and protection. These trailers can easily be washed with soap and water. No harsh chemicals or special cleaners needed to keep it looking attractive. Your Mini's will travel in style in a new Hawk "Mini" trailer. The low profile design of the Hawk "Llama" and "Alpaca" trailers will cause many heads to turn. The sleek look of the Hawk trailer with the aluminum exterior skin and the distinctive Hawk custom color accent stripe will set you ahead of the crowd. We can stretch the floor length in the horse area of goosenecks to allow for side unload ramps as well. Ramps may be added to the road side or the ditch side of a horse trailer.
